Dr Naresh Kumar K.L. is a senior cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive expertise in advanced cardiac surgery, minimally invasive and robotic cardiac procedures, and mechanical circulatory support.

He is currently a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad, where he has played a pivotal role in developing and strengthening advanced cardiac surgical programs, including robotic cardiac surgery.

After completing his MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysore, and MS (General Surgery) from VIMS, Bellary, Dr. Naresh pursued his M.Ch in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the prestigious Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad. He further enhanced his skill set with an observership in minimally invasive cardiac surgery at Leipzig Heart Centre, Germany, and holds a Fellowship in Advanced Robotic and Innovative Surgery (FARIS).

With more than 11 years of post–M.Ch experience, Dr. Naresh has been involved in a high volume (more than 5000) of complex cardiac procedures, including total arterial and off-pump CABG, multivessel MIDCAB, advanced valve surgeries, ECMO initiation and management, and mechanical circulatory support systems. He has actively contributed to Centrimag implantations, HeartMate 3 LVAD support, donor heart harvesting, and combined heart–lung transplantation. He is also deeply involved in GLP studies, including artificial heart development under the IAAHP Phase-3 program and leadless pacemaker trials.

A committed academician and mentor, Dr. Naresh has over 6 years of teaching experience training DNB Cardiothoracic Surgery residents and has presented more than 15 papers at national conferences. His research contributions include peer-reviewed publications in reputed journals, particularly in complex vascular anomalies, pulmonary carcinoid disease, and coronary stent complications.
